Community Reparation: The Commitment of the Entraide Nationale
After the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Agency of the East, the CDG (a financial group), the European Union, the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), the Ministry of Employment and the Royal Institute for Amazigh Culture, the Ministry of Housing, Town Planning and Development, the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, Staff Training and Scientific Research, the Agency of the Development of the Southern Provinces, the provincial councils of Azilal, Tan-Tan and Khemisset, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM), the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) signed a framework agreement of partnership with the Entraide Nationale on April 27, 2009 in Rabat, for the support of social programs to benefit populations in a precarious situation in areas where the community reparation is being applied.
Under this agreement, the Entraide Nationale will contribute to the rehabilitation of the communities of the regions concerned (Er-rachidia, Ouarzazate, Zagora, Figuig, Azilal, Khenifra, Khemisset, Nador, Al Hoceima, Tan-Tan and Hay Mohammadi - Casablanca) by contributing to the development and upgrading of the centers of the Entraide Nationale (kindergartens, homes for students, retirement homes ...), centers of education, training and integration of rural girls and children who dropped out, multifunctional social centers, kindergartens in rural and semi-urban areas as well as cooperatives for women in a precarious situation; and supporting the work of the local coordination bodies of community reparation program and local associations.
Meanwhile, the CCDH will take charge of preparing proposals and projects in coordination with local coordination bodies and the Steering Committee, mobilizing other national and international partners to support the programs under this agreement and drawing up reports on their implementation.
This agreement aims to realize the will of both parties to create a framework of cooperation with various social stakeholders: government, communes, private sector, international, national, regional and local organizations, as well as the inhabitants of the regions concerned. The CCDH President, Mr. Ahmed Herzenni, said that it was an added value and the beginning of a wider cooperation with the Entraide Nationale, highlighting that the CCDH aspired to take advantage of the experience of this institution who works for the most vulnerable social groups.
Mr. Mohamed Talbi, Director of the Entraide Nationale, said that his institution was committed to achieve this program given the nature of its mission to work with vulnerable groups, emphasizing the need to preserve the rights of citizens, especially children, youngsters, the elderly and persons with special needs.
