Khemisset : Signature of Convention to Implement Community Reparation Projects

Within the framework of the implementation of the recommendations of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission (IER), particularly as regards the community reparation program, the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of Interior and the CDG, a financial group in charge of the implementation of the program, at the headquarters of the province of Khemissat, on March 4, 2009.

CCDH in Fourth Arab-European Human Rights Dialogue on Migrant Workers’ Rights

The Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) participates in the fourth Arab-European human rights dialogue on migrant workers’ rights, held in the Hague Peace Palace, the Netherlands, on March 11-13, 2009, by the Danish Institute for Human Rights, the Jordanian National Center for Human Rights and the Moroccan Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH).

A CCDH Gender Committee Set up

As a national institution ensuring the promotion and protection of human rights and defending freedoms of citizens, the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) has made combating discrimination against women one of its key concerns in its advisory opinions, annual reports and its programs aiming to prevent abuses against women and to uphold the human rights culture. These concerns should be translated into an approach and a strategy to ensure women’s empowerment and gender mainstreaming in public policies.

CCDH-CCM Agreement

The Director General of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM), Mr. Nour Eddine Sail and the President of the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH), Mr. Ahmed Herzenni, signed on April 1, 2009, an agreement of cooperation and partnership on the promotion of the human rights culture and films on the preservation of memory and gross human rights violations, perpetrated in the past.

Fadma Ouherfou Reconciliation Caravan Received at CCDH

As part of the follow-up of the recommendations issued by the Equity and Reconciliation Commission (IER) and the project on "the promotion of women’s rights and their role in the process of transitional justice in Morocco" and in partnership with the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) received on March 30, 2009 the Fadma Ouherfou Reconciliation Caravan.

20.5 Million MDH for the Program of Support for Reparation Actions in Regions Affected By Human Rights Violations
