CNDH experience cited in a handbook on the NHRIs contributions in fighting climate change

The Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) and the German Institute for Human Rights (GIHR) published, on 4 December 2020, a handbook on the contributions of national human rights institutions (NHRIs) in combating climate change. This handbook presents actions likely to strengthen the role of NHRIs in climate action and to consolidate the monitoring mechanisms related to this issue.

This handbook cites the experience acquired by the National Human Rights Council (CNDH). It refers to its expertise and initiatives as part of good practices that can inspire the work of other human rights institutions throughout the world.

To be noted that the CIEL is an international center that focuses on the use of legislation to protect the environment, promote human rights, and ensure sustainable development.
