CNDH’s commission in Laayoune holds meetings with vulnerable groups in the region

The Regional Human Rights Commission of Laayoune-Essamara held in July 2014 a series of meetings to promote the human rights of vulnerable groups in its region.

Two meetings were held around a Ramadan fast-breaking meal with the inmates of the prison of Laayoune, on July 4th 2014, and the sub-Saharan migrants living in the Sothern Provinces of Morocco, on July 11th 2014, in Laayoune.

This series of meetings also included a Ramadan fast-breaking meal for abandoned children living in the Moroccan League for the Protection of Children in Laayoune’s Children House, on July 12th, 2014.

These meetings were held to promote human rights principles and values, non-discrimination, and respect for dignity and rights regardless of affiliations, race or administrative situations of migrants, in general, and the rights of these vulnerable groups in particular.
