The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)

The Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) signed a partnership agreement with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to promote the rights of the child and support mechanisms of redress for children victims of rights violations. Under this agreement, the Fund supports the Council in the following areas: - promotion of the rights of the child; - creation of national institutional mechanisms of redress for children victims of rights violations, following the Paris Principles, that can actively, effectively and independently help implementing the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its two optional protocols, following-up violations of the rights of the child and recognizing the child as a subject of rights; - analysis of the situation of the rights of the child in Morocco, on the basis a human rights-based approach, in cooperation with other important stakeholders, mainly the National Observatory of Rights of the Child. This analysis will allow the evaluation of the extent of taking the best interests of the child in the policies, strategies and measures made to promote and protect the rights of the child; - building capacities of different stakeholders working for a full realization of the rights of the child; - any action deemed appropriate by the partners to develop a fruitful cooperation in the field of promotion and protection of the rights of the child.
