Marrakech-Safi Region: First session of citizenship and human rights education clubs regional forum

The Regional Human Rights Commission in the Marrakech-Safi Region (CRDH), in partnership with the Regional Academy of Education and Training, will organize the first session of the Regional Forum for Citizenship and Human Rights Education Clubs, on 20 January 2023, at 10 am at Hassan II High school in Marrakech, Morocco.

Within the same context, Ms. Amina Bouayach, Chairperson of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH), will also facilitate a Masterclass o human rights education for coordinators of Citizenship and Human Rights Education Clubs and the Regional Student Council members.

This regional forum is organized within the framework of the partnership and cooperation agreement signed between the CNDH Regional Commission in the Marrakech-Safi Region and the Regional Academy of Education and Training.

It is in line with the requirements of framework law  51-17 related to the reform of the education and training system, and the contents of the Roadmap for the reform of the national education system for 2022-2026.

The organization of this forum aims to document the citizenship and human rights education clubs’ actions and their achievements in the region. It also seeks to mobilize relevant actors and learners to consolidate and promote the human rights culture in the school environment and its surroundings. This event will contribute to realizing the effectiveness of human rights in the school environment, etc.

The CRDH in the Marrakech-Safi Region and the Regional Academy of Education and Training cooperate within the framework of an annual plan. They program several training sessions to strengthen the capacities of the coordinators of citizenship and human rights education clubs, as well as workshops to communicate on human rights issues and share their updates.
